Technology and Social Media! / Tecnologia e a Media mudando a educacao!

Today my Web 2.0 Teacher Mr. Larkin and Mr. Sullivan email me this questions and I will love too see other people’s thoughts on that subject too.

How do you see technology and social media changing education? What do you think is good and what are your concerns?

Social media is given us a chance to get a higher education because there is awesome tools online that really help students and they really grab the attention to a certain topic and we can see and share different ideas with different classes around the world . I think is time to change the traditional methods that teachers uses to teach students such as (seating on the class listening to a teacher for hours and in the end you don’t really know much) I think teacher should use social media because sometimes one single explanation might not make sense to someone but having a opportunity to go online and research a topic and having many options to choose from would really help students understand the subject better. My only concern is how teacher are going to prevent students wasting their time on Facebook and other Social networks Web sites.

Hoje meu professor de Web 2.0 Mr. Larkin and Mr. Sullivan me mandaram um email com essas perguntas e eu estou expressando minha opiniao nesse topico e adoraria de ver o que outras pessoas pensam disso tambem.

Como voce ve a tecnologia e a social media esta influenciando a mudanca nas formas de educacao? O que voce acha dessa ideia?Fale das vantagem e desvantagens na sua opiniao?

Eu acho que hoje em dia uma grande revolucao e esta acontecendo na educacao. Social Media fornece ferramentas maravilhosas para estudantes ao mundo a forra. Na minha opiniao todos os professores deveriam sim usar social media em classes. Eu penso que esta na hora de quebrar aquela imagem de que a escola e um lugar chato. Os beneficios que Social Media apresentam para agente sao muitos e acho maravilhosa a ideia de trocar informacoes com pessoas com culturas differentes. Mais tenho uma preoucupacao muito grande sobre como professores vao inpedir estudantes de entram e se destrair em websites como Facebook .

Terror in Rio /O Dia D da guerra contra o trafico

 Região Metropolitana do Rio de Janeiro da noite de sábado, 20 de novembro, até o dia 27 de novembro de 2010, quando bandidos ligados ao narcotráfico tentaram promover um "arrastão" na cidade Maravilhosa.  Durante os ataques e depois, durante as operações, registrou-se que pelo menos 181 veículos teriam sido incendiados pelos criminosos. Nesse período, ocorreram ainda 39 mortes, cerca de duzentas detenções para averiguação e quase setenta prisões.

No dia 25 de novembro, a Polícia Militar do Rio de Janeiro, com seu Batalhão de Operações Policiais Especiais, (BOPE), atuando ao lado da Polícia Civil e em parceria com a Marinha do Brasil, que disponibilizou seis blindados e um grupo de fuzileiros navais para ampararem a logística da operação, que resultou na tomada da Vila Cruzeiro, região da cidade que até então estava em poder dos traficantes. Cerca de quinhentos policiais participaram da ação e o BOPE a operacao foi bem sucedida.
Em 28 de novembro uma manobra do helicóptero que sobrevoa as favelas do Alemão, na zona norte do Rio, deu início a ocupação policial na região. A aeronave cruzou um ponto disparando intensa rajada de tiros por volta das 8h.Por terra, veículos blindados de grande porte estão em locais estratégicos e já começam a movimentação.
As polícias aguardavam apenas a ordem do Estado para ocupar a área, o que ocorreu pouco depois das 7h30min.
A operacao foi bem sucecida muitos bandidos fogiram e muitos foram retidos a Paz finalmente voltou para essa comunidade policiais nao iram sair do alemao ate uma sede da UPP(Unidades de Polícia Pacificadora).

Metropolitan Region of Rio de Janeiro's night Saturday, November 20th until the 27th of November 2010, when criminals linked to drug trafficking have tried to promote a "trawler" in the City of Rio de Janeiro. During and after the operations, it was noted that at least 181 vehicles have been torched by criminals. During this period, there were still 39 deaths, about two hundred arrests for investigation and nearly seventy arrests.
On November 25, the Military Police of Rio de Janeiro with his Police Special Operations Battalion (BOPE), working alongside the Civil Police and in partnership with the Navy of Brazil, which provided six armored vehicles and a group of Marines To bolster the naval logistics operation, which resulted in the seizure of Vila Cruzeiro, city area which was previously held by drug traffickers. About five hundred police were involved in the action and the BOPE operation was successful.
On November 28 a maneuver the helicopter that flies over the slums of German, in the north of Rio, the police occupation began in the region. The aircraft crossed a threshold triggering intense burst of gunfire around 8h.Por land, large armored vehicles are in strategic locations and have begun to move.
The police were awaiting only the order of the State to occupy the area, which occurred shortly after 7:30.
The operation was very successful  many criminals  were retained Peace finally came to this community the Gov. Sergio Cabral said that the army will stay inside of the Favela do Alemao till a  UPP (Unit Pacification Police)  is build up on that community.

He spoke a few hours after 2,600 police and soldiers poured into Alemao .It was the biggest advance yet in the two-year effort to drive gangs from their strongholds in the hundreds of shantytowns.
Río de Janeiro Gov. Sergio Cabral said the campaign against gangs will go forward.
"We will continue to conquer more territories and give peace to our citizens and the foreign visitors who come here," he told Globo TV.

Do I have to be good in school in order to be successful?

Today I was reading Should i have to be good in school? And that made me think about it. Do we really have to be good in school in order to be successful in your future job my opinion I think Yes we have do are best in school because school is design to help us in our education and by studying hard every day makes a big difference in the world and make you look you feel better by knowing that you have something that makes your self different than others, education is the key for everything is something that you can not lose or get stole from.
The other part of these issue is that many people don't really care about school and later on there life’s they realize that they lost a lot knowledge in their life’s by not dedicating there self’s in  learn when they did had a chance to but never is late to realize and make changes that will help you a lot.

Levis is going to put an end to an epoch expensive jeans and after adjustment of process of manufacture to make ecological models even more cheaply about 100 dollars.

I think this idea is great and I can’t wait to have my eco-friendly jeans on my closet. This line was present on November 4, 2010 in NY.  Levis is motivating many other brands to find a way to make and test many other ways to make it more ecological.

Militar Fashion / A moda volta com os famosos estilos militares

As can we all see the old military fashion is back I love that tendency. Military Street fashion is styled for both men and women with that unisex hip look and design. 
Green and grey are dominant colors in the pallette. Strict sharp forms with too little femininity look pretty on women but I would never call that stylish. Burberry Prorsum items are also icnluded though they hardly belong to the military style. I hope you liked my blog post.

The galery has different  shoe brands and the price vary. I will love to go check that out someday I really like shoes and Im pretty sure The Gallery of Selfridges has shoes for different styles and any female will love to spend a days on that gallery.

New start/ um novo comeco

Hmm I decide to make my blog more about me and what I like to do. I had some inspirations by visiting my friend’s blogs from Brazil and I decide to rebuild my blog. Every blog post from now on I will have my English version which is not really good and my version in Portuguese so my friends and people from my country can read it too.
This change is going to take a little bit of time but I hope I start my new blog pretty soon.

This article has really good discussions points that teenagers should put a lot attention to it. I have a lot questions that I do not know the answer for them! Does facebook has the right to show are deleted picture to others? (Ex. Companies).

That’s why I think school should have educational courses to alert kids from posting stuff in the web that can be used against them and help them build a PNL .I also think teenagers should read really carefully the safety contract with the web sites they socialize their lifes.

Chilean Miners taste freedom

Is so nice to know that the first chilean miner was rescued at 12 am on wed.13.10. Cameras inside the mine showed the miners getting sending off and meeting there families after 2 months in a "cave" i can imagine how happy they are right now i hope this operation works out really well and to the chilean miners good luck im pretty sure the doors will open i many different way for them and have a happy and safe recuperation.

Our class featured in Edutopia

I feel so amazed how are work is being seeing by so many educators. All the hard work we are having in trying to find a safe network that will help us in the present and future. I’m so happy to see that what Mr. Larkin is trying to help us in this class is being look and comment and blog about it for different people. Is great to learn how we can use different social networks to talk about what your passions are instead to be spending time on facebook and trying to be “popular”.

I think if i'm going to start buiding a PNL i have to be really carefull what i'm saying in the web and what am i looking for.
A pnl is really usefull is very convinient you can read and discuss a book online you can see what is it other persons view. Is a way to share and exchange informantion with each other. Online you can talk and share different ideias with different cultures.

I dont think this is a great idea because as you see there is a lot stuff that you can do in facebook and banning students to use it is not the best idea that this principal had . I think social media is really productive and this revolution is gonna have to happen some day and i think we should face reality now.
